Cam Newton’s Custom 442 Cutlass is as Bright as His Smile
Cam Newton has never been known for being subtle. Whether it’s his dabbing, his superman act, or his flashy football moves, the NFL MVP is used to being in the spotlight and standing out. He loves it and embraces it. Some people enjoy this, other’s find it annoying. Regardless, he’s doing him, he’s flourishing, and his cars display that as well.
ESPN recently wrote up an article about his custom 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass, which is a black and gold bruiser. It was reworked inside-and-out by Terry Dobbs and his team at Monster Customs in Atlanta and shows off a level of customization not many people could replicate. You see, the gold Forgiato rims, the gold grilles, and the gold bumpers are all plated in true 24-karat gold. That offsets the satin flames and gloss black that covers the rest of the car.
To accommodate the wheels, the car was put up on an air ride suspension. The car also features Cam’s logo in the left grille, a sound system in the trunk, and a completely customized interior with gold diamond stitching, a new steering wheel, and a new carpeting.
Dobbs has already worked on Cam’s 1972 Chevelle, as well, and up next is a Rolls-Royce Wraith. Oh, he has a Bentley and a ’69 Chevelle, too. Flex.
Here’s a closer look at the wheels:
