Red face Help! 97 5.7 replaced with a 92 5.7.. fml

So here it is. I have a 97k2500 with a blown 5.7 vortec. Had gotten new motor from yard and from get go was having every little issue. Had swap out intake, heads, flywheel, along with all basic accessories from blown. Got it out in truck, bolted mounts, started running wire harness, got every plug plugged in damn near and tried turn over. She'll try her *** to turn over but just won't. Did more research and realized crankshaft position sensor was still in blown, tried installing in one from yard and was. I spot for it. Researched casting number off old intake and come to find out engine is a 92. So have 97 top one a 92 bottom that doesn't require a crankshaft position sensor.. is there any way around not having to completely pull it again and find new block that requires it? Or can I trick my computer into thinking there is one?? I need help
