Hello, I have a 2002 Z71 4x4 with the 5.3. Recently, while heading to South Dakota with the air conditioner on, the fresh air light stayed on and the recirc light came on as well. Pushing the buttons did nothing. The fan speed increased and the temp went to hot immediately. The only things that helped was to shut off the truck. When the truck is restarted, it resets and works correctly for a period of time then the same thing happens again. Unfortunately, there is no telling when it will do this. This started in August and has happened on and off since then. I cannot figure this one out and it is so intermittent, it is tough to bring it in. Now that it is winter, it is also doing this with heat. The only real difference is that since it is winter, I want heat anyway. Could this be related to the actual switch, the actuator or likely a computer? Any help will be much appreciated.
