Default Overheating 02 Silverado A/C on or off

So when this first started it would creep up a little when A/C was on when I
Revved up engine for a out a min it would lower to normal temp. Now it also
100+ outside now and it goes up 3/4 the way and Erving up doesn't help any
More. When I go down highway to get air moving still doesn't cool it off
Only cools off when I let off gas and rpm is about 1800 or so. Then it will start to drop a little. I changed water pump tstat also cleaned out heater hose and rad hoses as well. Could my CLUTCH BE BAD? Help please

when you shut the engine off how long does it take for the fan to stop spinning?

Electric fan or belt driven? If it's the latter, I'd bet the fan clutch has gone bad.

if it stops right within a few seconds of turning the engine off the clutch should be fine, the coolant is full right? Sounds like possibly a flow issue or air in the system

Might be worth taking the overflow cap off and letting it warm up to operating temp to try to purge any air out of the system and refill to see if it still tries to overheat.

Tried that now. Filled it up and opened cap. Got air bubbles out. Coolest was a little low. Topped off and still heating up

might be time to do a combustion gas test and make sure your head gaskets aren't the issue
