I need help with my 1994 Blazer S-10 .... It has a 4.3 Vortec motor that I want to replace with a 1990, 305 TPI that came out of a out of a Firebird .... The tranny in the S-10 is a 4L80E which will stay ..... The problem is the computer and wiring .... I sent away for some books on conversion , but they are absolutley useless ... Can someone please point me in the right direction ... Any help will be greatly appreaciated ...

Pull the harness out of the firebird, complete, you may need to figure out the gauges, the rest should plug right up. You may have a problem with the ignition, All you need to do it find out what goes to what and splice like into like. The only thing you really need to worry about is where the harness goes into the truck. I am assuming you have a complete care to pull the engine, harness and computer from.
