So I pulled my head after timing belt went bad and discovered that my valves are bent. Now after looking at the top of the pistons, it appears that their are perfect circles on the tops of the pistons that mimmick valves. I have never seen this before but who knows is this normal or is this indicating that the pistons are shot as well??? Any help would be appreciated.

There should be hemisherical indentions in the top of the pistons that give extra clearance and an impact surface to the valves in case a valve sticks in the open position. It decreses damage if the piston hits the valve. They should look like this:

If you see any spurs or anything on the top of the piston, you may want to have the top of the pistons resurfaced and rebalanced. You may not neccessarily have to replace the pistons.
