tHE OIL PAN DRIPS , MECHANIC CHANGED THE DRAIN PLUG, I USE ALWAYS SYTHETIC OIL 5W 50
, STILL FEW DROPS AROUND OIL PAN, NOW HE SAYS IT IS REAR MAIN SEAL LEAKING,
CLAIMS A BIG JOB AS TO TAKE OFF TRANSMISSION, FLYWHEEL , AND PUT THE NEW SEAL AS MAY BE GONE BY HEAT OF ENGINE.
HE CHECKED OIL COOLER LINES ( GOT CHANGED 3 YRS BACK) ARE FINE.
cAN THE eNGINE LEAK ADDER BE HELPFUL!!!!

oR SHOULD COST BETWEEN $400 TO $450 CANADIAN.

oil stop leak, is great for softening seals up that have gotten a little hard. Mind you they cannot fix it if the porblem is too bad. At your next oil change, have the tech throw a bottle into the oil. Oil stop leak usually take around 400-500km to start taking affect. If you noticed that the leak is better, but not gone by your next oil change, throw another bottle in. If by the third oil change the leak hasn't been fixed, you either live with it, or pull the tranny and fix it

i have seen if you use synthetic oil in a older engine it will find a place to leak !try the additive if it doset leak to much let er run ! unless you like to spend money .:)
