so, i got a job finally, and i'm going to probably make a fair bit of money this summer. i was thinking about buying a leveling kit and tires for my truck, but realized that it'd be pointless as it's only 2wd. then i wanted a dirtbike, but recently i went mudding with a friend and started looking into mud boggers. i looked at older k5 blazers on ebay and found a few lifted ass ones with about 100000 miles or so on them.

i think i'm gonna get one if i can find one for around 1500 when i get the money, but i'm wondering if i really have to get insurance on it because i live not 1000 feet from the place where everyone goes mudding and rides atvs/dirtbikes etc.

basically all i'd do is drive it down my street(not busy at all) and off the road, through a big ol puddle and back into the trails. occasionally i might put it on a trailer and haul it back to the badlands in indiana for the dunes and mud pits there.

advice on this?

good/bad idea?
