there's nothing special about any of those cars. I think the vette is the best one cause it's a classic.

If you go back and see what the users have posted, you know that there is a lot of work in all of those cars.
-The Cavalier has had a sport body put on it, that for one is a lot of work. It also has a metal flake paint job and euro tails. Not to mention the interior mods...
-The Corvette is a survivor...(I think), but whether its a survivor or restored, a lot of work goes in it to make it look that nice and keep it looking that nice over the years.
-Anything that is illuminated in that Impala is done so with fully custom LEDs. That takes hours of disassembly, soldering, and reassembly. As well as the fact that it has a bunch of performance mods, and a one-of-a-kind quad taillight assembly. It also has a KILLER sound system in it.

i kinda take offense to that. i've put in a LOT of time AND money into this car, and here's just a quick resume of what's gone into my cav thus far:
18x8 XXR 008 wrapped in Falken ZIEX's
AEM Cold Air Intake System
Aftermarket dual-tip exhaust
4-pc body kit w/ mesh grille
Altezza taillights
Blue paint w/ silver flake & clearcoat
Platinum reflective 80% window tint
Eclipse CD4000 head unit
Eclipse ipc-106 iPod control interface
Polk 4" in the doors
Eclipse 6x9" in the back
Kicker Comp 12" in ported enclosure
Eclipse EA2000 amplifier
Neon blue interior LED's with music interface
maybe i need to take some more pics to make it a bit more clear as to how much work has really gone into this ride. show some respect.
i just added some more pics so every1 can see exactly what's gone into the car. more to come. nothin special.. pfft. here's a taste:
Good point TJ.
Were you expecting to see an alcohol pro stock or something?
Or possibly a Caprice with a lift kit and 28s? LMAO!!

amen. maybe if i go out tomorrow and throw on some racing slicks and fuel it with some high-octane racing fuel... flames coming outta the exhaust (which apparently should be just below a parachute), take some pics of the front wheels comin off the ground and the car at a nearly 90-degree angle... i'd be okay lol

This is a close race. Thought it was gonna be a repeat win for Flying Low when I created the voting thread, but watch out!
I'm gonna up the number of contestants up to 4 or maybe 5 when we get more PARTICIPATION! :) Then it will certainly be a dogfight for the win.

I think he was expecting more then just rims, a body kit and a stock classic car. No body has any real performance mods done to the car, or any personal touch. Nothing under the hood... nothing impressive. I am not talking about drag cars, I am talking about vehicles that have time put into them.
Laugh all you want about the make of the car, but it looks better, there are more hours spent, and it will spank any of those cars. If you knew anything about an SL2 you would know he customized almost every square inch of that car, all the way down to the turbo manifold. There are practically no real performance parts out there for these cars. That is something I respect.
Point made, but until someone with a more customized Chevrolet gets nominated, then this is what its gonna be.
Many votes are influenced by the person behind the ride, not just by the ride itself.

Unfortunately, the malibu is getting no further modifications. I will wait until I get another car. I have the saturn, but visually, there isn't much to see and its no chevy. I guess we'll have to wait and see if I get another chevy next.
Maybe you should make it so all vehicles owned by an active member are allowed. That way you can get some diversity. We have some members on my other site that have just a plain saturn, but like a sick lotus and conquest TSI.

That has been tried before on other forums, but how does it look when a tricked out Ford wins ROTM on the Chevrolet Forum?
I will let a non-Chevy compete. For instance, if someone has a nice Sierra, Aura, Grand Prix, etc. Just as long as it shares a platform with a Chevrolet .

A stock classic? Do you have any idea what it takes to maintain a "stock classic" in it's stock classic appearance and still retain it's value? Have you ever done a frame off, #'s matching restoration? Just as I thought.. NO. Get some time under the hood and turn some of your own wrenches before you come on this website and criticize. Doesn't matter what is up for nomination as the "Ride of the Month". Each one of these members is damn proud of their rides and have spent time adding their own personal touch. Better yet, come over to the SRT-10 forum and talk some smack. I guarantee they will make you cry and make you go back to your mommies basement and play some more "Dungeons and Dragons" with your other loser friends. Come back when you have something constructive to say. To all the other members on this site, my apologies for losing my cool but I hate those that can't accept others for their values and always have negative things to say. 18 1/2 years in the military has made me state what I feel and without reservation.

Intense Racing PCM -PCM or controller or both?
NAIOA FWI
Res Delete - Does not add much hp only increases sound quality
SLP Powerflo Monte SS Catback -Again does not increase HP/Tq much
ZZP Alt Rewire
ZZP Downpipe & MagnaFlow HighFlow Cat - Helps a good bit for turbos, but unless you have headers you have wasted your time.
Suspension
Front/Rear STB - A simple but good mod to have especially on our boats.

I don't expect you to know about tuning other cars. I know mods in general. Not car specific. I like the LED mod. Actually looks nice, especially if you have a LED cluster as well. I put my response in bold print instead of quoting it individually. I was not calling your car trash, I was just saying I did not see performance stuff. You have proven that mods in general do not need to be go-fast parts.

The saturn I have now, is a little bolt on car that my fiance drives. I have no use for it and in my eyes it's slow. It is a fast car, don't get me wrong but I am working on something with a little more pep. Likely to be a SVT cobra or something along those lines.
My previous car was a 1995 Nissan 200sx with a S15 blubird sr20det swap in it. Greddy t78 turbo, HKS d-pipe, open test pipe, and HKS cat back. Home made CAI with feeder pipes, APEXi fuel controller, walbro pump... and other misc. crap.
So I have a fair bit of knowledge in building up cars. Right now my current project is helping my buddy out with his 1991 Taurus Sho. It's not going to hot as he is a little low on funds. It will be a work in progress for a while.

Intense 180 t-stat
A cooler running engine makes more power
Intense Poly Mounts
Better oil pickup during drag racing
Removes vibration caused from lowering the car
Better axle alignment for less HP loss through the shafts
Increased weight on the front tires for better launching
Intense Racing PCM
This is a PCM tune
SLP Powerflo Monte SS Catback
Bolt on a new PowerFlo™ catalyst-back exhaust system from SLP on your Monte for up to 10 extra horsepower with a low, muscle car rumble. You’ll feel and hear the difference. Our engineers specifically developed this system to sound great and build power for the V6 3800 standard or supercharged engine platform. It sounds more aggressive than stock on the street, but with minimized interior cabin resonance. This system features a pair of round stainless steel polished tips with a rolled edge for a muscle car style that will look great on your car. The exhaust system is hand-crafted from stainless steel. The tubing is bent on state-of-the-art CNC bending equipment using mandrel-bend tooling to minimize exhaust gas restrictions that come with factory systems (factory bends have wrinkles and deformations that restrict exhaust flow),
ZZP Downpipe & MagnaFlow HighFlow Cat
http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_am/products1.php?id=635&catid=141 I highly doubt its a waste. Stock is 2.25 This is 2.5in All mandrel bent. The dp comes with a UBEND Delete. Just removing that is 5HP. And HP isnt cheap
And not saying that IM done modding, just saying I dont JUST have rims. I have other modifications too. Not just all engine mods.
