I have previously done a 7" chevy trailmaster lift on my 99 s10 blazer, paid more then I wanted but great ride.

I now have the 94 s10 truck and looking for 1-3" max just for some added clearance.

has anyone reviewed lower cost solutions. definetely don't want to give any on the feel of the ride. (i.e. block/tortion bar adjustments) but don't want to spend $1k+ on a rancho/trailmaster/etc.....

appreciate recomendations

Bite the bullet and do it right. If it costs 1K plus then it does but it'll be right.

if you are just looking for a couple inches , you might want to check into 2 or 3 inch body lift. the ones for newer trucks have everything you need including bumper brackets. another option would be do a shakle lift in the rear and crank up the torion bars for a extra couple of inches in front. dont forget to get the front end realigned after ya crank on the torsion bars

That'll work. But unfortunatly there are problems with both of those. The body lift offsets the fan for the engine so the engine could run hotter. It also makes you vehicle a lot less stabler than a suspension lift.Plus the gear linkage can get messed with. There are ways to solve all those problems though. And with the shakle lift,on a older truck, you really risk one of those torsion bars snapping, then you're riding sidways. Not trying to shoot anyone down, just suggestions.

i had an 03 s-10 zr2 , cranked the t-bars 1.5 inches and got 2 inch shackles .. it worked out great for me. it was an xtra cab five speed standard shift truck, and still had a good ride
hope that helps u out.

thanks
