i don't own a chevy, but my grandpa has a lumina that needs to be jumpstarted, the battery is under the windshield washer fluid, to get to it i gotta take half the car apart! well not half of the car,but i gotta move some parts outa the way. is there an easier way.

i didn't see any remote jumper points. we didn't take anything off, the alligator clips were small and we got them to the battery.

many newer models have remote points that are for jumping...perhaps hunt those down?

It depends on how new it is and is it a lumina car or van?</P>

My '92 lumina euro has a remote jumper near the battery, windshield washer or radiator overflow(don't remember which)(car is out of state now or i would check). Remote has a red plastic cap on it. connect the ground cable to frame. Hope this applies.

On my wife's 98 Lumina, the remote jumper is right behind the washer fluid tank under a red cap. It's hard to miss, so I'm thinking yours is different. If there is not a remote, I would hook it to the positive lug on the starter. It goes right to the battery.

Take it apart once, get some battery cable, and remote mount some battery terminals so if it does need jumped they are on top of everything.
