this problem has been resolved. it ended up in the hands of the
mechanic. it's a plugged cat converter. but we're thankful nothing real
serious happened. sometimes, these weird smells could freak us out. and
should be enough too cost us a lot of fortune for repairs.

Thanks for the heads up. Did they say how it got plugged up in the first place?
