My mom purchased a 05 equinox and man what a piece this thing is being. It has a rear end groaning noise to it which I think is the rear diff. Already been in to have a pinion seal replaced. She started it up and went to back out of the driveway and it started to make a popping sound out of the throttlebody. Sometimes it likes to keep cranking once it's already started and running. Needed new pads and rotors after 15,000 miles. Whats up with these things????

the pads and rotors im chalking up to driving habits, I have seen people go thru them in 6000km and mine last about 30000km, depending on how you drive,

the starting thing try this....all new GM now have what I call an 'auto start feature' just hit the key to the on and let go DO NOT HOLD IT to start, just turn it overandlet go of the key the vehcile will contnue to crank till it starts, if you maintain holding hte key while it turns over, it will keep turning 3-5 seconds after you let go making you think it is cranking more then it should,......but it is just doing what it is supposed to do....

the popping sound AC??? this will make a kinda poping sound and hiss when it cranks on and off....

no this was actually a backfire out of the throttle body.

Just did it the other day again. It's after start up when she puts it in reverse to pull out of the driveway it will pop a few times and you have to rev it to make it clear up.

sounds like a sensor somewhere giveing to much or not enough fuel to the truck.....or letting to much air into the TB, Impalas have this problem....but it causes an idle problem nota backfire
