i have a 98 s-10 and i also have selective window wipers. they decide to work on and off, especially when its raining really hard. is this maybe something with the relay, or a motor problem? i could use any help on this one....also, if it is the relay...where the heck is it?!

it could be the motor. but to ensure that you're not going to replace the whole thing, check it out with your mechanic. try car parts restoration (http://www.carpartsmax.com/) too for some customization.. :)

it is the relay. GM had a recall on the problem. I have a 95 s-10 and it did the same thing. lots of luck

GM did have a recall on the wiper motor. Actually, as it turned out, it was the little control box mounted to it. I ended up replacing the entire motor and box about 4 months before the recall was originally issued and they would only reimburse for the cost of the box. The entire motor assembly was a bit pricey too.

well i like the idea of it being a recall so i dont have to pay for it!! someone told me it might be the module and i know that can be pricey to replace. ill have to check out to see if it really is a recall....THANK YOU!!!
