I am looking for any books on rebuilding small block Chevy engines. What books have you used that you think are ideal for guidance with rebuilding and a few mods too? I know there are several books out there but I really need t hear from you guys who have rebuilt and modified their engines.
Thanks.

I guess it all depends on your modifications you are planning on making. most of your engine rebuilding manuals only cover stock rebuilds. If your only mods are putting in a bigger cam or changing heads you dont need anything more than a haynes manual. they cover all of your torque specs and they seem to offer all of the "right ways" to overhauling an engine. most of your performance catalogs, jegs, summit have a bunch of performance builders guides, but keep in mind they are written with the professional in mind. Good luck. I have personally rebuild and modified several small and big block chevys. if you have any problems id be more than willing to help out.
