Default Maintenance items for a new-to-me Astro

Hi all, I just purchased a 1999 Astro Van. The plan is to convert it to a small size camper. But first, the mechanicals!
The coolant is low and rusty, and there's an oil drip I need to track down. I am thinking a drip from the engine is better than from the transmission? The only other problem I noticed is stinky brakes on long downhill descents.
I plan on replacing all fluids first. I will need web-links etc for these procedures and I am ordering an FSM on e-bay.
Other than fluids, what parts may fail around this age? I may replace the little things, and just get an awareness of the bigger things before we head out on our big trip. I still have 4 months before we go, so lots of shakedown time.
Thanks in advance!
