Cold engine whins

Cold engine whins
I have a '02 avalanche that makes a whinning noice in the mornings when you first crank up. It is kinda high pitched that goes along with the rpm. After a couple of miles the engine gets warm and the whinning goes away.
Power steering fluid is ok with no leaks and does not make unusal noise when steering wheel is turned either way.
Truck has 132,00 miles on it.
Any ideas?
thanks,
Ron

It may be your drive belt. That is just a suggestion, not a diagnosis. It is difficult to diagnose without a physical inspection. You may want to consider taking the vehicle in. A technician should be able to offer a more accurate solution.
Have a great day!

From my experience, if you can see the fan motor when you have the glove box out, hold on to it while you cycle thru the speeds to see if there is a marked change in vibration at different speeds. If so, you might need a motor.
