Repairs based on TSB's
Are repairs that are based on a TSB supposed to be fixed for free by the dealer, like warranty work? I am having trouble with my 4-wheel drive shift/indicator. THere are several TSB's associated with it that clearly state there is a design flaw in the sensor and encoder module. The TSB is 03-04-21-001D. The dealer is telling me it costs $800 to repair, even though I've had it in for the same problem several times only to be told no DTC was shown. Now all of a sudden a DTC code of CO-327 is showing up. Can anyone shed some light on what TSB's do for the customer?

RE: Repairs based on TSB's
TSB's usually don't extend time or mileage outside of base warranty. That's usually reserved for special policies or recalls. Depending on mileage out of warranty or time out of warranty and how long ago your visits were your dealership may be able to goodwill the repair. You may want to approach the service manager and see if he would be willing to goodwill the repair or maybe even offer to pay a customer copay of $100 or $200 since this is the usual deductable if you were to have a GMPP major guard extended warranty which this would be covered under. What year is your vehicle and how many miles are on it?
