1967 caprice 283 2 barrel carburetor choke??
Hello Guys
Just bought a 67 caprice with the original 283 v8 engine. It has the original 2 barrel rochester carburetor but a manual choke? There is a **** inside the car that you pull the wire to open the choke and push to close. Does this sound original? The radio is missing and the **** for the choke was mounted in one of the radio **** holes. Also a vacuum hose on the rear of the carb is tied in a knot?? Car runs lousy and backfires through carb when I rev it up. Idles nice though.. Thanks in advance!! Nel
