Oil Problem
1991 Chevy Caprice Classic w/ 305... Started it up this morning and oil started leaking out near the oil filter... Initially I thought maybe the oil change place put on the wrong filter, but after changing the filter, and filled the oil back up, started the car up and it appears the oil pressure is causing the seal on the filter to burst and the oil came back out....
Anyone experienced this??? Please help it seams like the oil pump has to much pressure..... What could make this happen it was running fine last night.... Looking for help , thanks chevy owners in advance....

RE: Oil Problem
I've seen this happen before. It is usually a faulty oil filter. The filter has a oil pressure release valve inside. This is so that if thefilter cloggs up, the oil by passesthe filter and continues to circulate through the engine. If this thing sticks, it will blow the oil seal on the filter.
