Default Rough idle

I have 2012 Chevy Captiva LS with Ecotec 2.4. Bought it used with 44000 miles on it.
It now has 51000 miles.
When I got it I noticed that when the car is completely warmed up, it will have rough idle at stop lights. I can feel the car bucking after few seconds after stopped at the light.
Took it to the dealer and they said since there is no code, they cannot do anything. The service guy at the dealer make it sound like it is normal. It's also consuming oil. They want to do oil consumption test by monitoring every 500 miles. What a hassle. Why can't they just to cylinder compression test.
This is my first American car purchase and it does not look good. Perhaps this was a mistake buying an American car. I would have hoped dealer service would be better.

Does anyone else have idle problem that dealer do not know what to do with?
It's pretty disappointing that dealer would throw their hands up.

Probably not any help, but my 2012 does this also, and has since we bought it. I test drove a Malibu from the dealership before we bought this, and noticed it did the same thing. I assume it is just something with this motor.
