Cavalier was revving high the other day to 3thou rpm then it went back to normal, but today when i got home the rpm dropped really like to like 3 or 4 hun and then died, if i give it gas it will go back up but then wants to die again. Any suggestions on what the problem could be, or anybody had similar problems? car is an 02 and is standard.

Default

sounds like a fuel filter, or a cam position senso, is your check engine light on? if no then it is the filter, if yes get it checked

Default Idle high after throttle body cleaning and spark plug change

I had the Throttlebody cleaned and change the spark plugs after cleaning the car idles high. when you turn it on and when you step on the gas in park it idles up to 2000 and when you put it in reverse it accelerates. Also when
you come to a stop it jerks as if it wants to keep going... what do I do???
