Default 1996 Cavalier Speedo Not Working After New Stereo Install

I installed a new stereo in my Cavalier on Saturday and cut the old harness out. I had 3 wires left not connected, green with white stripe, brown, and I can't remember the third. When i was testing the wires before the install I noticed that if i gave power to the green/white wire it made the speedo jump. After install I wanted to make sure that the speedo worked and sure enough it didn't. Obviously i suspected this becauseI was into the speedo circut if i could make it jump. Any ideas what wires to reconnect to what to make it work again? I suspect something has to be connected to the green/white wire.

why would you apply power to an unknown circuit? you probably burnt out the cluster.
Pull the radio out and make sure its not grounded...otherwise i'll bet you need a new cluster
