most gm systems are armed by pressing the lock button on the keyfob. If you don't have the fob option; your not equipped with content theft alarms.

the system will arm and theft light will flash 30 seconds after the last door is closed and locked with the fob.

to test... open the driver window. get out of the car and shut the door, lock using the fob...wait 30 seconds for the theft indicator to flash. unlock the door using the manual lever on the inside door handle and open the door. This is all in the owners manual.

do you have option code UA6? Check the reverse side of the spare tire cover. If its not there you don't have the theft deterrant.

Are all the door switches working properly? Does the RAP shut off the radio when the driver door is opened? Do the doom lights work with opening and closing of the doors? If the bcm doesn't get a door close signal, the system won't arm.

Any codes set in the bcm?
