Default Transmission brace

Okay, this is going to sound like a stupid question but how important is the Engine/Transmission Brace? I'm about 95% finished replacing a blown engine, as well as installing a new clutch set, and when putting the top bolt in on the brace, i broke it. In order to have enough space to drill it out, and re-tap the hole, i'll have to pull the engine again...and i'd rather not fight with that for a 3rd time.

The part i'm talking about is #26 on the image below:


I have the two bolts on the side installed just fine, but that one up top snapped...how screwed am i?

i don't know about a brace but #26 on your illustration look's like a ground wire !

It's a black, metal bar (bolts #25 bolt it to the transmission, and the engine)

Not sure what it looks like in real life ... if you can weld in that location just weld a nut on it (weld inside of nut).
