Default Car won't start

I have a 2004 cavalier with the 2.2L engine. I came home from work the car was noisy so I added 2 qts of oil to it and let it run for 10 minutes, I put it in reverse went about 10 feet then went to put it in drive and the engine cut off.
I replaced the starter, the ckp sensor, and the fuel filter and it won't start.
It turns over just won't start. Any ideas?

when it cranks over, does it sound different that normal? if yes, do a compression test. inspect the plugs while you have them out for the comp test.

checking for spark with a spark tester is another starting point.

any dtc set?

Default Car won't start

I have now replaced the spark plugs
Ckp sensor, fuel filter, and starter.
Still not starting.
So I'm guessing the fuel pump next?!!

why did you replace all the parts so far? you have no evidence any of them were bad.

Now the fuel pump? did you check to see if you can hear the fuel pump prime or check fuel pressure?

this is what any engine needs to start:
- spark....must be verified with a spark tester
- fuel pressure....should be checked with a fuel pressure gauge
-compression....you need a compression gauge
-injector pulse...listen for with a stethoscope or use a noid light

helpful information would be: if the theft light is on after cranking and if any dtc are set.

you can test for these things or just keep replacing parts.....

The next thing I am checking is spark.
If that fixes it then yay!!
If not then my injectors.
