Default Tire Pressure for 2002 Chevy Cav.

Hello,

Can't read the correct PSI for tires for my 2002 Cavelier (4-door, auto trans.). Anyone know what it is? Thanks.

ALWAYS fill the tires to what is rated on the tire. NOT what is printed on the tire placard.

Remember the Ford\Firestone incidence?

The correct tire pressure is on the sidewall of the tire, usually in small print near the rim

Hi all!

I have same question, cause i'm confused.

GMs' (and some mechanics) "recommended inflation pressure" for Cavy02 -30-32 PSI

New BF Goodrich Premier Touring (bought last year) shows max. pressure (with max load) - 44 PSI.

What pressure is correct?

Thanks

44 psi. . as stated above, always run tires according to their requirements printed on the tire sidewall. When you run at max pressure your tires will wear evenly and you will get much more life out of the tires!

Also, my experience is most tire shops will actually let the air out of your tires (even if you specifically request they not do this) to 30-35 when they rotate or balance, so check your pressures afterwards and fill them back up to 44.

If you can't tell what the tires say then I would recommend 35 PSI. But I agree always go with the tire recommendations
