Default Lifted or not ...

Alright so here she goes .. Just turned 17 and I have a 1969 Chevy 1500 single cab, long box ... I'm debating weather or not to put a 4 inch lift and 35's on it or leave it stock .. I'm debating cause my dad had the same truck but lifted and i wanted a father - son type thing .. What do you guys all think ??

Biggest drawback I've found with lift and big tires is less performance on takeoff. Always feels like you are in second gear. And those tires are expensive. It's a lot harder to find old factory height trucks than you may think. I would advise putting your time and $ into performance, body and paint.
