Cobalt This sporty compact was faced with the difficult job of replacing the popular Cavalier, but whether the base model, or the supercharged SS is chosen, is has made for a great replacement.

Default 06-09 2.2l swap

Hello everyone!

I'm currently doing a complete engine swap of my 06 2.2l to a 09 2.2l. I have every module I can think of except the abs module, but I have the entire car's wiring harness including the engine bay's.

I have a quick question though. Do I need to use the original lock cylinder/ theft deterrent module with key ( have the lock cylinder but no key)? Or can I use my original key and program it by doing the learning procedure to make it work with the PCM and BCM?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading!
