Cobalt This sporty compact was faced with the difficult job of replacing the popular Cavalier, but whether the base model, or the supercharged SS is chosen, is has made for a great replacement.

Default Adding a second stock sub

I've got an '06 Cobalt SS with a stock Pioneer system w/ sub. I've got access to a second stock Pioneer sub that I'd like to add. Can I add this sub to my existing system, or is a new amp absolutely required?

If you don't absolutely want to buy an amp, then just tap inot the wires for the first sub.
You might be replacing amps more often than you like though.

Thanks for the reply! Would I splice it into the wires for the sub anywhere along the line, or should I do the combo at the amp? Also, is there a concern that two subs spliced together would rob power from each other? Thanks!
