06 alarm problems
I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. A couple weeks ago, the locks started randomly locking and unlocking on their own. We don't have the $80 for the diagnostic, so we found the fuse from the manual and pulled it. Now my locks are manual. The key fobs started having problems several months ago, so we haven't been using them.
A couple days ago, the alarm started arming itself. I do not use the fob to set the alarm, and the automatic locks are turned off in the Driver Personalization Menu and by the fuse being pulled. But the alarm sets when I turn the ignition off. Therefore, each time I get into my car, the alarm sounds and I have to jump in to start the ignition to make it stop. This is not due to a problem with the key fob battery because it has occurred when the car is across town from the key fobs.
How can I turn off the alarm? Is there a fuse I can pull, or what?
Thank you for any help you can give.
