2008 Cobalt Govenor
Afternoon Forum enthusiasts, being the young male american i enjoy speed and an adrenaline rush. Unfortuanatly im to scarred of the consequences of seeing how fast my cobalt will go.. does anyone know what the govenor is set at on the cobalt or what the top speed is??

It doesn't take too long. Probably about 40 seconds.
The limiter is made to cut the power back at the target speed and drop you back about 5 MPH.
I should hope you are not doing this on the open road....its suicide.

In my '06 2.2l 5-speed, its 104-106 around there. When you hit it there will be a hard jerk that almost forces your foot off the gas.
It Doesnt take the Cobalt that long to do probably 30s maybe faster. When passing using 3rd gear its easy to hit 85 with out realizing it. Even in 5th gear the car accelerates pretty quick after 65.

i assume then that its unstable and shaked like no other
