Default satellite radio antenna

Has anyone opened up the Onstar connections ? I have an XM satellite radio and the magnet mount antenna lasts about 2_3 years then starts to cut out. It used to be $15 for a new one but it has jumped to way over $30. I was wondering if there is an antenna in the Onstar package that I can route to my satellite radio. If I get the satellite receiver added to my aftermarket radio, XM will charge me another $50 to change it plus I have to pay for the Reciever. It is not a big deal but if that onstar did have an antenna and I could feed it or extend it to my unit it would look better and last longer
