Default 454 questions

AS you see the heads (78 454) have cooling passages front center and back. Why do aftermarket manifolds NOT have these passages,, they seal them off. I have seen some with tapped pipe fittings on the rear that corresponding to the rear passages. Does it not overheat?

Where is the best spot to tap oil pressure port on the block

Thanks,

doug

Youre going to have to deal with specifics, such as date ect. The head match should just go with head gasket as (ex) x head on a 454 block. Heads vrs. block, thats what you have to do, big block chevy with ?? head match up.
