So you put too much fluid in your tranny?
One guy has stated he overfilled his Chevy 200-4R tranny and it's leaking from the front (Don't ask how or why). Because he never drives it, (Apparently, it's a car he doesn't rely on to drive) he doesn't need to do anything; the excess fluid will drain out eventually. The guy he's talking to thinks he's crazy and that even if he doesn't drive it for the next six months the dripping will eventually stop but the damage will have already been done.
So my question is:
If you overfill you tranny and it's dripping from the front; but, you do not need to drive it for the next six months, what would you do?
1. Immediatly drain the pan and restart.
or
2. Wait until the drip stops and check the level in the future.
