Stripping down Hydraulic Roller Lifters
Hi all,
I'm struggling to strip down the lifters from my engine, I've removed the clips, the pushrod seats and the small disc below that and I was under the impression that the internal cylinder was supposed to come out as well, usually with a magnet or sharp knock, however neither or these seem to work.
The engine is an 88 I believe from a 305 TBI Camaro (I'm not 100% as it came from eBay) that had been stood for a while and was seized up tight, it's with the engine builder at the minute. I'd much prefer to re-use the lifters as replacements aren't the cheapest (especially having them shipped to the UK) and the engine isn't going to remain mostly standard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
