This sounds exactly like I am having the same problems as well. Abs light would come on along with the TC errors. However, we are not getting the pulsing of the brakes. Yesterday, when trying to start the car, it start then die. Got the errors as well. Took me 2 times to get the car started. Interestingly, the car radio wouldn't turn on at all. Weird. Took it to a Advance Auto Parts store where they ran codes, it was giving them about 10 or so communication errors. Wonderful. When I went to start the car today, it was completely dead. Called for a jump. They couldn't jump it but with what juice I had, the radio was back. Thought that was interesting. Taking the car the dealer since I have an extended warranty with them on thursday. Hopefully this is covered. Just reading this thread, it's looking like the pigtail assembly is possibly the issue. Is this correct?

This fixes that problem. I have owned a 2006 Chevy Equinox and have replaced every common failure in the car. From the Heatercore clogging, Blown Head Gasket, Faulty Heater Blend Door, faulty ignition switch. Love the car when its working. Heres the part.

ACDelco 22715444 Wheel Speed Sensor Wiring Harness Assembly

Its just the wire harness that connects the front driver side wheel speed sensor on the wheel hub to the ABS computer module behind the fender. Faulty connector I presume.

Same thing on my 2008. Stabilitrack light, traction control, and check engine light all lit. I took to Chevrolet dealership and it is going to cost
220.00 dollars just so a technician can read a code. Not to mention I can't pump any gas in the car because the gas pump keeps shutting off.
Come on Chevy I know things don't last for ever but everything needing to be looked at one time is suspicious. Obviously by the looks at this forum something is amiss.

Default 2006 Equinox ABS Nightmare.

This problem has been on going for too long.
It first happened in 2012, we replace the wiring harness, and it went away for about a year.
Then it came back and we replaced the sensors, and the problem did not go away. So we replaced the hubs, and the problem did not go away, then we replaced bearings and two sensors again, and the problem did not go away, now we have just replaced the bearings and the problem is still persisting.
We have put $4200 into this car in the past 4 years and still have not rectified the problem.
It is the same symptoms everyone here is having. ABS and Traction Control lights come on while braking at under 10 MPH, pedal vibrates, becomes hard to stop, is very dangerous. Then light goes out and problem resets when you turn the car off. Initially the lights will not come back until you drive for a short amount of driving time the next time you turn the car on. It is not safe for my wife and kids to be driving around in. We are Chevy people, and loved this car, but Chevy should be doing something about this problem as it is so widespread. It's on every message board. Google the issue, it's everywhere.
This Car is breaking us. we just bought a house, we can't afford a new car right now.
Where do we go from here?

Default 24 Pages in this thread.

I hope the people at Chevrolet notice there are 24 pages in this thread alone.
Time for a call to the BBB and to some class action lawyers.
There is obviously a Major Problem going on here that the company is ignoring.
Help the people who love Chevrolet.
Do the right thing.

Smile 2006 ABS & TC control FIX

Since November in 2015 i took my car AGAIN to a different mechanic her in my town Tijuana MEX.
I took my car for a different reason.
I explain him how mad i was because of the brake problem. He answered me stating that has fix many equinox. HE only use his scanning tool and the problem since then has not returned. My problem of pulsating pedal and no braking at low speed TOTALLY went away.(did not replaced any parts this last time)

I have a 2008 Equinox. For the last several months I have been having three problems. First, my car constantly smells of gas! I am not losing or leaking, but the gas smell is AWFUL! Second, my dash had been lighting up with traction control needs checking. My engine light is on. Had several friends just look at it. They are not sure of the problem. Third, I am very disappointed in the dealership that sold me my car. I bought it in 2013 needing a car since my broke down. In the last two weeks the paint is peeling off my car. It peels and all I see is rust. Whatever happened to this car before I bought it they knew about it. I should have been informed. I probably would not have bought it. Now I am driving around in a gas smelling, paint peeling car. I use this car to drive my grand baby who lives with me to her specialist. She is in renal failure and gas is certainly not what we need to be smelling!

Angry 2005 chevrolet equinox

I have had multiple problems with this vehicle since my purchase of it. My first problem started with the fuel pump going out which cost an arm and a leg to repair. Then the front end struts completely disintegrated and that was another $250 not counting labor. But the most recent complaint that I have with this contraption is the ABS/TC light on and not being able to stop at times. This vehicle should be recalled or better yet destroyed in some instances. I would expect Chevrolet (not the dealer) to stand behind their vehicle that they sell to the public. You are building mediocre cars and expect the public to deal with them. I understand that certain wear and tear issues do develop. However, I have never sunk so much money into one vehicle in my life. I think I am definately going to purchase a Ford next time!!!
