Default 2003 Express Transmission oil Pan Removal

I am trying to change the transmission fluid and filter on my 2003 Express van, with a 5.3L engine and 4L60-E transmission. However, I cannot remove the transmission oil pan. I have removed the bolts and the shift cable bracket, but the exhast cross pipe runs right under the pan and prevents the pan from lowering down far enough to clear the transmission valve body. Any suggestions on how I can get this removed?
