Question 2004 chevy 3500 express, low idle ???

Hi all, I have a 2004 Chev. 3500 express, not diesel, it has a very low idle when sitting, has to really warm up, or it will stall.
when coming to a stop the abs feels like its going on, only on the passenger side and pulls to the right.
Ive been told it might be a vacume leak, does this make sense to any one here ?

not sure where to start ?? any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated !!

Thanks in advance !!

My 03 express 3500 had a similar problem to what you're describing. Van would crank fine, but then the idle would fluctuate. It would dip down so low it sounded like the van was gonna choke down, sometimes it would. it would choke sitting, and also choke down while driving.

I took the van in for service and we had the throttle positioning sensor replaced. and a short time after that I had the entire throttle body replaced.

everything runs great now. hope this helps some.

Hi, sorry for the laps, I'll check the sensor and the throttle body, was it expensive to replace, had mine in @ the shop originally and they sold me a new computer,, still ran the same so after the $$ spent in vane I've thought I'd try to figure it out on my own

thanks for the input !!

Default 2005 idles about 500 rpm is that normal?

I have a 2005 chevy express 3500 with 6.0 engine. On the highway, it runs fine but at a stop or in park it only idles around 500 rpm. Sometimes when starting it will be low enough that it stalls when shifting from park into reverse or drive. When it is cold it does not rev up to 1500 like normal. I have to give it gas to get it to stay at 500 rpm for a while until it stays. I replaced the throttle air controller module and cleaned all parts of the throttle body. Is there a specific idle speed for this engine? Seems like it should be more like 700 rpm but how can you adjust the idle?
I have seen some videos that suggest the wires going to the connector for the throttle control module get melted and can disconnect or short.
