Default 2011 Chevrolet Express Outside Mirror Turn Signal Bulb

Can the lens for the turn signal be removed? My 6 month old OEM replacement mirror turn signal lens is holding water.

Maybe just drill a small hole to vent it?...Otherwise, it must have a way to replace the bulb.

Not sure I would drill it but as canucklehead said there must be a way to replace the bulb, you may find the reason for the water with lens removed.

Nothing in the owners manual, nothing on youtube...
I'm wondering if the blindspot mirror needs to come off to access clips that are part of the lens and attaching to the housing??
I not sure how that should come off without breaking...

Found this on a trailblazer forum.

Pivot the mirror FORWARD to access the secret lens retaining screw on the bottom.

Thank you. I saw that too. I looked but my lens is small and contained to the very outboard area only.
I'm still leaning on my theory of the blind spot mirror needs to be removed to access the clips. I just don't know how to remove the blind spot lower mirror without breaking it. Does it pull out of a socket with enough force? I just paid somewhere around 200 dollars for this mirror and cant stand the thought of me breaking it again.

I need to order a pair of these aftermarket power mirrors for my van I bought that has almost every other option except the mirrors.....(how stupid).
Please let me know if you find a solution...
Maybe call the gm dealer and ask a tech, or call a glass shop that does mirror glass.
The bad news is I heard that GM considers these mirrors to be unserviceable. So if you break the glass you have to buy a whole new assembley.....which is an outrage.
I needed a new glass pc with the defrost element for my 2002 express and the glass shop I went to had to order it in from somewhere.
In your case though.....the bulb must be changeable........Good luck.

Now I am not alone in believing there has to be access to replace a bulb or led. To replace a mirror assembly for a bad bulb does not seem a possible answer?

What about the possibility of the lens snapping in place? Jampg maybe there are no clips.

How about a trip to your local Chevy dealer parts department and inquire about a replacement lens and ask to see the exploded view screen that should show how it is secured.
