Default 2500 extended front cabin wind noise

Hi,
My van is a 2013 2500 ext low top 9 passenger. When driving at highway speeds the front cabin area is quite noisy. Hard to talk with the passenger and need to turn the radio up quite a bit. Seems mostly like wind noises, I think. It has low road noise Michelin tires. Insulation in the side doors from the upfitter. It is a v8 gas which is not loud that I can notice.
I am not sure if it is the way this vehicle cuts through the wind or poor door gaskets (I don't feel any air flow) or?? Any input or thoughts are appreciated.

My 02 is quiet. Much more than my older 95 g20 I had.
Maybe the mirrors are the culprit like the HHR.
Try coasting downhill to eliminate engine noise to see if you can narrow it down.

my 06 is relatively quiet too, maybe check your doghouse too to make sure it is on and sealed well. a passenger version should be quieter than my normal cargo van I am assuming too.

Hey gtcuthbe,

I can imagine how bothersome this may be, and apologize that you are experiencing this wind noise. Have you mentioned this to your dealership at all? We would be more than happy to reach out to them on your behalf regarding this issue. If there is any way we can be of assistance, please PM us your name, VIN, and contact information.

Check the molding around the windshield , if it is not tight to the glass this will increase the wind noise dramatically . We have received them from the plant with loose molding .

Default 2013 Express 2500

Hi all,
My Express 2500 passenger van is obnoxious from the window seals above 65 mph. I’ve tried adjusting the door latches inboard 1mm. The door gasket has nice firm contact all along the perimeter. This is my only complaint from an otherwise excellent vehicle.

So is mine. But I never expected much from a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a side of a barn.

Just a thought.. cause I had this issue with my GMC 1500 truck...
the front windshield could have lost the seal some were...
I went to a buddies body shop.. were he
had a small smoke machine... and I used compress air on the
out side... and that is were all my road noise was coming from
so it had to be replaced..
<My 06.. is super quiet... was even before I started
modifying it.

I currently own a 2014 1500 AWD conversion -- the wind noise is horrible near the front windows (driver's side is the worse). How can I correct OR get this fixed. Is there a dealer recall or something?
