Default ABS Module

Hello,

I have a 2007 express 3500. The abs light came on and I have taken it to multiple shops inculding the dealer and they are saying that it needs a new abs module. I was wondering if I can replace this myself or if there is some type of programming or link up to the ecm required or something like that?

Thanks for all of your help

I would call a dealer and ask a tech. They should be able to explain the procedure, and then you could decide. Remember though, sometimes the part is cheaper if you get it done for you. I ended up only paying 150 bucks labour on a fuel pump job because the difference in part price was way more if I bought it for myself over the counter.

if its the module without the modulator valves its a simple bolt up but it may require a scan tool to update the tires size calibration.
