where I work we have a 2008 chevy express 2500 cargo van and on the passenger side cargo door that opens outward the rod that latches the door has come out of the upper bracket and I am just trying to figure out what that fastner is called that would hold that rod into that bracket. It doesn't have a hole in the rod or I would just use a washer and a cotter pin. If anyone knows or can lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it thank you.

I don't think the part has a specific name. It is pink in color if I remember correctly and I had to get them at the dealer. Get a bunch of them because you will ruin a few trying to get it attached. I believe the correct way was too attach it to the bracket first and then the rod.
