Default Checking in and a couple questions

Morning,

I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself and ask my first questions.

I am a mechanical engineer for W. L. Gore (of Gore-tex) and I ride motorcycles. Mostly dirtbikes, but really anything with two wheels.

I just picked up a 2007 express 2500 with the 4.8, 4l80e and a Dana 60 with 152K on the clock. I think it was an auto glass van as it's REALLY clean inside and out.

First question: I notices the front springs seem to be sagging. The control arms *just* touch the bumpstops at rest. I'm wondering what the normal ride height should be?

Second question: Can anyone recommend me a decent quality adhesive backed sound/heat insulation that wont break the bank?

That's all for now! I'll start a build thread in a bit to document my transformation...
