The 6.5s had a plug for a block heater which was great for cold weather. Not sure if the 6.2s had it or not. Look around the grille area.. it should be sticking out. When starting... glow plug light will come on, don't start till the light shuts off. (you may already know that)

It might need new glow plugs and fuel filter. Some fresh diesel if it has been sitting. Could be any number of reasons as to why the suspension is not as smooth as the other van. That diesel is a heavier motor.. especially on a G20.. Front end is going to take more abuse.

This website will help for the diesel...
The Diesel Page - for the 6.2L, 6.5L, and Duramax 6600 (6.6L) GM Chevrolet and GMC diesel engines.

A very good friend owns a 6.2 (G30) and it has NOT been a reliable truck also for a diesel it is not remarkable in power. I have a 2002 Excursion diesel to compare it to and lets say 6.2 does not compare. in my opinion for reliability and ease of up keep a 5.7 would be a better choice.

Thx, I appreciate the input. It's not my first oil burner. I wasn't expecting it to be the best i've ever owned, but I just drove almost 600 miles in it and it ran great. i needed big and cheap, and its both of those. I'm hoping it may be dependable too.

Quinny, am I reading correctly that you got the diesel? Post up some pics and tell us more about it.
