Help! Where is my VIN number?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the VIN number was stamped on the chassis frame, or some other location on my Chevy Express Van year Model 1998?

vin

they are usally on the driver's side bottom of the dash looking through the windshield , and on the driver's side door sticker ,printed on it .

OK I know that one but is it not also stamped/engraved in a chassis member? Thanx for you reply

I see your in Switzerland, is this for vehicle registration? There isn't anything for serial number on your van other than posted. Possibly emissions? I think unless you are looking at european sales to euroupe you will only have the vin as posted.
