So I bought this 2001 chevy express 1500 from a 75 year old man who garage kept it and it is mint. The only issue I found was that the door hinge was seized up on the side door. I freed it up today using a syringe and some CLR . I then blew off the CLR and lubed it with DW-40, this worked and it brings a smile to my face so I hope I can bring one to yours. I put together a short video on youtube , hope it helps someone.

Good job - my only comment is do not finish the job with WD, use an oil as the last step. I use regular motor oil on all my hinges on all my rigs twice a year. Also use it on my suburban mirrors.

That's awesome. I've had issues with those same hinges on a couple of Express vans I've owned. I've had some success with tri-flow lube, but I've only been able to free it up so much. I'll give it a try on the Express I just bought. The same door on my 3500 is having issues. Thanks for sharing.

Motor is probably a better choice, I just wonder if it will penetrate as well since it is thicker. I will try though and thanks for the tip.
