Default help im out of ideas to fix this

I'm working on my buddy's 85 c20 chevy van and cant get any spark. there's power going to the cap BAT wire and the omh's are correct on the wires from the distributor to cap. i cant figure out why it has another set of wires though do they go to the computer and are they necessary or can i just swap the distributor out for a hei without computer wires.

already TDC'd it twice and that wasnt it. also does anyone have a diagram of the wiring and where it go's because im not sure if my buddy got all the wires hooked and where the ones that arent hooked might go.

thanks

can you post a pic? what color are wires that aren't hooked up? do these wires come out at base of cap, right below the BAT wire?
