Default Power Lock & Window Switch Lights....

Last April I got a 2004 Express 2500.

Am slowly working on customizing the interior.

One thing I noticed on my van....the master power window switch and the driver's side door lock switch are internally lit.

However, the window and lock switches on the passenger side are not.

Is it just my van? Or is this standard on Chevy Express vans?

It is all too easy to order replacement switches, but as part of my interior work, I want my passenger side switches to have internal lights as well.

If it is factory standard that passenger side switches are unlit, I can use a driver's side lock switch on the passenger side, but the window switch is a different story.

Being a single switch, if it comes stock from the factory unlit, then I would have to get a replacement driver's side switch, and figure out how to take the switches apart so I could do a mod to the passenger side window switch and transfer the interior light into it.

If I wanted to take it a step beyond that, I had wondered about changing the interior light to blue LED lights instead of the current white lights.
But that is going a bit too far for me. I just want the passenger side switches to be internally lit.

I have done lots of google searches to just try to find out if the passenger side door switches are supposed to be lit or not, but found nothing.

Any info would be appreciated. Sure it is kind of silly, but what the hell. That is what customizing our vehicles is all about.

Thanks! That tells me that I can just order OEM replacements and I should be good to go!

Ok...got my switches in today, and installed them.

Presto! Lights! Camera! Action!

Then I looked down at my drivers side door, and the lock switch light is now burned out!

Oh well. It is a 5-minute job to replace it, and I am replacing the door speakers soon anyway.
