Default power window switch

The power window switch keeps going bad. The driver side window stops working but the passenger side will still work.I've changed the switch twice it will work for a a day or two then then I'll hear a pop and the drivers side will stop working. Some times I can jumper the blue and green wires on the back of the switch to get the window to go up. Can anyone tell me why my switch keeps going bad

Read the other thread. Sounds like either a bad window motor, or a bad ground. Either way too much current is blowing the switch. if you jumper the wires do they heat up so you can't hold it?

I only leave the wires touching long enough to roll up the window.within that time the wires don't get hot

Do you happen to know how much volts/amps should be leaving the motor to the switch? If that's bad do I have to replace the whole motor or is there a regulated I can replace? By the way the ground checks out good. Thank you for your help I truly appreciate it.

Sorry I don't. Perhaps a call to a dealer to speak to a tech might help.
I have never had this problem with my 2002. I did however have to replace the window motor in my 95 which sucked. Not easy at all.

Also, is there a relay that controls power to the motor? Might be worth checking into that too....
